STI lifted by sturdy results and news from Europe.  Bourse still ends week down, but counters with good earnings gain.

This week received the voluntary unconditional cash offer for Keppel land.  Acceptances date is on 12 March 2015.  Will use the capital gains to buy other dividend stocks.

STI buoyed by Wall Street rally, Jakata subsidy hike move.  Commodity stocks up on biofuel subsidy news.

Investment Fraud:

Easy money are always like honey to investors.  In Singapore as reported in the news, about 150 people have lodged a police report, after a company they had invested in became uncontactable.  The investors, who comprised both local and Chinese nationals, had invested a total of S$50 million.

Alleged victims were lured by returns of as much as three times their investment at the end of two years. The scheme promised a monthly payout of between five and nine per cent on investment. The money earned would be in the form of online credits, which could only be converted into cash by the company's team leaders.  Alarm bells started ringing in September last year, when investors were unable to contact team leaders from the firm. The company's Kuala Lumpur office was abandoned when an investor visited in October.  Police confirmed they have received a report, adding that it was inappropriate to comment at this time.

This again shows that we cannot afford not to look after our personal finances.

From 19 January 2015, you can now trade in 100 shares instead of 1000 shares per trade.   What a big difference this week as the stock rainbow start to shine and investors suddenly all turn optimistic and majority of the SGX shares all rises.

Investor are still facing the oil tumble crises and now another Swiss Franc crises emerged resulting in more bloody markets around the globe.  When will the Spooky man stop spooking the stock market.

Bought Super Group Ltd at 1.12 and it close the week at 1.105.  Buyer beware, be prepared that any stock you buy today can become cheaper tomorrow during such a bearish market where one bad news come after another.

STI ends week on a low after bout of profit taking.  UOB, OCBC Bank, along with oil gas stocks among the losers.

An aspiring dividend investor have to dedicate themselves to patiently building their portfolio of dividend income one stock at a time. This process takes time, and requires plenty of patience in order to build wealth. It also takes a lot of dedication to save money these days, rather than spend it on frivolous purchases such as new cars, big homes, expensive vacations or big screen TV’s.  Lastly, I must remind myself again in the new year 2015 this Simple Stocks Purchase Principles.
