  1) 
At first :
 John ------ 2 units
 David ----- 1 unit

After
 John ------ 2 units - 68
 David ----- 1 unit - 23
 [2 units - 68] = [1 unit - 23]

1 unit ------- 68 - 23 = 45
 John ------- 2units x 45 = 90 (answer)
