What is the use of Feature NUMKER?
NUMKR is the Feature helps when you are hiring
a new employee(Personnel number), you can customize whether it should
be internal number range or External number range.
What is the use of control record?
Control Record Play a very important role in
Payroll. Payroll Control Record is created for each payroll
area.
-> It determines current payroll period for the
exact date.
-> It defines the Payroll past for the retroactive
accounting recognition.
-> It Locks the Master Data and Time Data to
prevent changes from being made during the payroll run.
-> This Lock is Valid for the payroll past and
Payroll present. Changes which affect the future can still be made.
-> It determines the earliest retroactive
accounting period.
Are you able to perform more than one action
in the same day?
Yes, you can do on the same day, you can hire
and you can terminate.
What is the functionality of time constraints?
When you update an infotype, old data is not
lost but archived for historical evaluation. The system records a specific
period of validity for each infotype, This enables the system to store
more than one infotype record at the same time, even if their validity
periods overlap. This means that the time relationships between infotype
records must be defined.
HR Master Data uses the following Time Constraints:
Time Constraint 1
For the entire time that the employee works at
the enterprise, exactly one valid infotype record must exist. The validity
periods of the individual records must not overlap. If a new record is
created, the system automatically uses the start date of the new record
as the delimitation date of the old record. Gaps are only allowed between
the employee’s entry date and the start date of the first record.
Time constraint 1 must be used for all of the
infotypes containing information that must be available at all times. This
is particularly true of personal and organizational assignment data.
Time Constraint 2
No more than one valid record can exist at any
one time. Records with constraint 2 must not overlap. Their existence is
not obligatory. If a new record is created, the system automatically delimits
the previous record, if one exists.
If a record is delimited because of time constraint
2, the system displays an appropriate message.
Time Constraint 3
Any number of valid records can exist at any
one time. The individual records do not conflict with each other.
To implement SAP Payroll what are the mandatory
modules for HR.
Payroll is the Central Component in SAP HR.
PA, TIME and OM are important.
What are the types of break schedules?
You can define Work Break Schedules for your
enterprise. You have to specify exactly when breaks
May be taken within the daily work schedule (DWS), and you have to mention
that these breaks Are paid or unpaid. All this you have to configure
as per your client / business requirement.
Example : You can define break schedules (Tea
Break) 9:45 am to 10 am;
Lunch Break 1 Pm to 1: 30 pm & Snack or Refreshment Break : 3 Pm to
3:15 PM.
You can configure whether these breaks are paid
are unpaid as per your client requirement.
These Breaks you assign it to your Daily Work
Schedule (DWS)
To generate a work schedule what are the parameters
required.
You make the settings required for creating work
schedules in your enterprise. Work schedules are shift schedules which
must be generated for all employees, even those with a set working time
(salaried employees) or flextime. Elements of the work schedule include
daily work schedules, period work schedules, and work schedule rules.
Work Schedules are generated from the system
by applying the work schedule rule to a calendar. The working times defined
for employee groupings and individual employees are based on these work
schedules.
What is the use of a counting rule?
You define rules for counting attendances and
absences. The rules are used to determine the payroll days and hours for
an attendance or absence. The payroll days and hours that have been counted
are used to control the deduction of quotas. They can be used in Payroll
to valuate the absence.
A counting rule can comprise several individual
sub-rules. The sub-rules are numbered sequentially. The system runs through
the individual sub-rules until it finds a rule that applies.
Define base & accrual entitlements?
If you set the rules for determining the base
entitlements to an absence quota type. The base Entitlement forms the basis
for calculating the prorated leave or absence entitlement for each Accrual
period.
If you determine the base entitlement according
to the employee’s age or seniority, you enter a Constant expressed
in days or Hours. The base entitlements are set for specific period.
How to generate Absence Quotas?
