Everyone of us have dreams of things we would like to acquire to make our lives more enjoyable. Isn't that one of the main reasons why so many people join a multi-level marketing company? Of course it is. We dream of the day being able to quit our job and have the luxury of working at home. And there is nothing wrong with this kind of dream.

However, this is just a dream that many people have but only few had achieve. For the majority of people, the dream actually becomes a mlm nightmare. The whole process of being in a home based business becomes a journey to nothing but heartache and sadness. For many people it had even turn out to become an embarrassment.

What happens to a dream that turns it into a mlm nightmare? What goes so wrong that people can't wait to get out of the MLM business. What causes people who were once excited about owning their own business to become someone who despises the MLM industry?

Is it something that the industry has done? Is it something that their company does? Maybe it was their family that caused the nightmare or maybe some friend. Ask anyone who has gone through a nightmare in the network marketing industry and you may get any number of different reasons.

Pinpointing the problem may not be as difficult as some would think. And there may not be as many reasons as one would be led to believe. Yes, many things do happen to turn a business at home dream into a mlm nightmare, but in the MLM business many of them can be avoided.

How can such a catastrophe be avoided? One person has the power to change things. You! I know some will not agree with me but we are all responsible for our own success. And this is where the home business dream begins to turn into a mlm nightmare. Too many people do not take the responsibility of building their own business.

This is so true in the MLM industry. People join a company with the opinion that all they need is a couple of people signed - up under them and they will build a successful business. And many people in the industry communicate this attitude to the newcomers.

So why does a network marketing business dream become a mlm nightmare? Because we have been told that it doesn't cost much, everybody will want the product, the product sells itself and someone else will build your business. Sounds pretty good though, doesn't it?

But it is up to each one of us to build our own business. Can we really expect someone else to do this for us? Well, some people do. And this is the beginning of their dream turning into a nightmare. Be responsible and do the work that you must do to build a successful business. It's the only way for you to prevent that network marketing dream from becoming a mlm nightmare.
