Make Your Life a Living Hell - The Stupid Interviewer

Okay so you go to a job interview and you find out that you are being interviewed by a bunch of knuckle heads...Right?

Not only that, but they have the nerves to not be any where near as qualified for the job at hand as you are and they know they aren’t so they try to make your life a living hell by asking you the same questions five or six stupid ways? And then...here comes the Human Resources girl telling you that you’re going to be interviewed by a panel of executives (dummies). Oh great, now you have to try really hard so they’ll understand.

I recently had an experience where some people were interviewing me for an “Executive Level Position.” At first they tried the intimidation approach, but that didn’t work on me for the simple fact...people do not intimidate me. If you are continuing to sit up straight, looking them in the eyes, and keeping your confident composure, oh they absolutely hate that. So they proceeded to ask stupid questions about departments and fields I never worked in, I guess to try to tap into my confidence. They kept asking me “What Can You Do For My Department?” I responded not with what I should have said and that is “Apparently not too much seeing how you can’t do anything for your own departments.” These are people in places and suits taking up space. The position had not been filled in two whole years, which doesn’t sound too promising to me. I did ask why and they could not give me a straight answer. I don’t think I would want to come into a company and clean up someone else’s mess. That was the most unorganized interview I have ever had and would never want to work for their company ever in life.

If you experienced this sort of thing don’t feel too bad. They have to make up for their shortcomings some sort of way unfortunately at your expense. But the bright side of this situation is if the interview process was horrible just imagine if you really got the job and started to work there. You would be totally miserable because you would be working with totally incompetent people. Count Your Blessings!
